Hanson Zandi Nominated for 4 Awards
We hope you have all had an enjoyable break and have had a great start to the New Year.
Hanson Zandi kick off 2015 in real style. We have been nominated for 4 craft awards in the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society Advertising Awards. This is our best achievement ever and is a fabulous start to our 30th year. Needless to say we are over the moon - particularly the creative teams. This follows hard on the heels of a double nomination in the digital awards for ‘treatment adherence’ and ‘gamification’ #mhealth, and a high commendation for our global oncology branding in 2014. Hanson Zandi is definitely on a roll.

The Hanson Zandi 30 Year Challenge #HZ30
To celebrate our 30 years in business we have decided to extend our Social Sustainability programme to engage further with our local community and to support a number of very worthwhile charities, while at the same time stretching ourselves to attain new individual targets. The Hanson Zandi 30 Year Challenge is our way of giving back and sharing our good fortune.
- 30 day spring fitness challenge (watch this space for details)
- 30 meals for local elderly at Diwali, Ramadan and Christmas
- 30 sponsored dry (no alcohol) days – sober October
- 30 days of facial hair growth for Movember (this is one for the guys)
- 30 gift boxes for orphans in Romania
- 30 towns and cities to be visited by Mojo-The-Monkey, Hanson Zandi’s 30 year mascot
- £30 per month to donated to charity by each member of staff throughout 2015
- HZ to match the monthly totals
Mojo-The-Monkey has already visited Paris, Brussels and San Francisco as well as going skiing in La Plagne. Bex has run 30 km – keep it up Bex. Alex is planning to lift a staggering 30 stone in the gym. He has lifted over 25 stone to date. C’mon Alex. Watch this space for updates.
Katherine Wins the iPad Air
As a lead into our 30 Year Challenge we invited all our contacts to take part in the Chimney Challenge. A fun digital game of dedication, skill and tenacity. Congratulations go to the winner Katherine Davey of Allergy Therapeutics who scored an amazing 5291. Katherine has already received a fabulous iPad Air. Well done Katherine.
Congratulations also go to the five runners-up who have each received, or will be receiving, a bottle of champagne. Really well done, enjoy the bubbly.

2014 Awards Success
Hanson Zandi loves digital and we were once again finalists with an app in both the ‘patient adherence’ and ‘gamification’ categories at the PM Society Digital Awards in September.
We were also Highly Commended for our Secondary Care Advertising for Selective Internal Radiation Therapy, for Sirtex in the PM Society Advertising Awards in January.

New Staff Member Update
Jaz Dial - graphic design is his passion
As many of you are aware John Tuck retired from advertising and design this summer after 26 years of amazing service with Hanson Zandi. He was a key member of the team and we all miss him and wish him well in his new venture. If you’re in Devon he’d love to see you, check out The Denes Guesthouse www.thedenes.com.
At the same time Hanson Zandi welcomes Jaz Dial, who joins us as Graphic Designer following 6 years experience in consumer design with a keen focus on cars. Jaz is working alongside industry creative guru, Will Elliott, who has done a really thorough job of showing Jaz the ropes in terms of the relevant codes of practice. Oh the joy! Jaz has already got well stuck in to healthcare, in fact he was a creative judge for the upcoming PM Society Advertising Awards.

Bex and Alex - working on a status report
We are really pleased to announce two well-deserved promotions. Rebecca Gittins, who has been with the agency for 4 years, has been promoted to Senior Account Manager. Rebecca handles a number of pharma brands and is our resident devices expert.
Alex Carr joined Hanson Zandi as a graduate, with some excellent intern healthcare experience, more than a year ago and has recently been promoted to Senior Account Executive. Alex’s keen attention to detail and industry knowledge has already got him noticed.
Mike - looking cool
Last, but certainly not least, Mike Sannwald has also made Hanson Zandi news. Mike, now Digital Account Manager, has just completed his Digital Marketing Diploma exams to add qualifications to his practical experience and knowledge. Look out - he could be on his way to Industry Digital Pioneer of the Year. So whether you need a sales or treatment adherence app, gamification or augmented reality explained, or just some straight talking digital strategy advice? Mike’s your man.
